Police bust gang involved in preparing and selling fake educational certificates

Times News NetworkKanpur: The Commissionerate Police’s SIT and Pheel Khana police in a joint operation on Friday afternoon busted an organized gang involved in preparing and selling fake educational certificates.

Two members of the gang have been arrested, and 59 fake marksheets, degrees, migration and provisional certificates prepared in the names of various universities and education boards, four Android mobile phones, and Rs 4.53 lakh in cash were recovered from their possession.The Police Commissioner in a press conference disclosed that the gang is spread across 25 states. By conducting a raid in Pheel Khana, a gang involved in making fake degrees and marksheets has been exposed.

This gang is spread not only in UP but also across many states including Delhi and Mumbai, he said.Pheel Khana police and SIT, in a joint raid, arrested 35-year-old Amit Saxena, resident of Barra-2 EWS Colony, and 38-year-old Gopal, resident of Vinayakpur behind Gurudev Talkies, New Civil Lines. Gopal originally resided in Kalpi (Jalaun), and Amit Saxena is originally a resident of Etawah.
