Nine staff members of a pub in KPHB were taken into custody after a late-night raid by the police, who alleged that the establishment was facilitating prostitution, allowing entry of minors and operating beyond permitted hours.

The raid was conducted on the night of June 6 and 7 by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kukatpally Zone, Ritiraj, along with Additional DCP Shameer, Detective Inspector K.S. Ravi and other police personnel at Kings and Queens (Club Masti) Pub within the limits of KPHB Police Station.

According to the police, the inspection revealed that the pub was allegedly facilitating soliciting and prostitution, operating without adequate measures to prevent the entry of minors into its premises where liquor was being served, functioning beyond permitted timings and serving liquor and food in violation of government regulations. Police also alleged that the establishment was operating without a valid no-objection certificate from the police.

The nine persons taken into custody included four women and five men employed at the pub. They were shifted to the police station for further legal action.

Police said preliminary evidence indicated that the pub owner was allegedly using women to attract male customers and generate inflated bills for wrongful gain. Investigators also alleged that the management was facilitating immoral activities and procuring women for customers.

A case was registered by KPHB police under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act. Further investigation is underway.

Police said the pub had previously figured in multiple cases registered by KPHB police in 2025 relating to various offences.
