The Hyderabad Traffic Police has announced traffic diversions around Jubilee Hills Check Post, KBR Park Entrance and Mugdha Junction in view of the ongoing construction of a steel flyover and underpass under the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) project.
According to an advisory issued by the Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Hyderabad City, moderate traffic congestion is expected on stretches between Mugdha Junction, KBR Park Entrance (Gate No. 1) and Jubilee Hills Check Post. Commuters have been advised to plan their journeys in advance and avoid Road No. 2, Banjara Hills, wherever possible.
Motorists have been urged to avoid peak traffic hours between 8.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. and between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., follow instructions issued by traffic personnel, use navigation applications for real-time updates and opt for public transport or carpooling wherever possible. Heavy vehicles have been advised to avoid the affected stretches during peak hours.
Traffic moving from NFCL towards SNT, Sagar Society, KBR Park Entrance, Jubilee Hills Check Post, Road No. 36, Road No. 45 and the Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge will be diverted at SNT Junction and Sagar Society through Srinagar Colony Main Road, Indiranagar Labour Adda, Road No. 5 and Venkatagiri X Roads before reaching Jubilee Hills Check Post.
Vehicles travelling from KCP and Banjara Hills Road No. 1 towards KBR Park, Jubilee Hills Check Post and Road No. 36 will be diverted via Taj Krishna, Road No. 10, Zahira Nagar, Cancer Hospital, Agrasen Island and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan before reaching Road No. 45 in Jubilee Hills.
Traffic from Masab Tank heading towards KBR Park and Jubilee Hills Check Post will be diverted at Road No. 1/12, Banjara Hills through Agrasen Island and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
Vehicles travelling from Road Nos. 36 and 45 in Jubilee Hills towards NFCL will be diverted at Jubilee Hills Check Post through Venkatagiri, Road No. 2, Yousufguda Basti, Yousufguda Check Post, Maitrivanam, Ameerpet, Indiranagar Labour Adda and Srinagar Colony before joining the Panjagutta main road.
Traffic moving from Begumpet towards NFCL will be diverted at NFCL through Road Nos. 1/4 and 1/7 in Banjara Hills, Taj Krishna, Road No. 10, Zahira Nagar, Cancer Hospital, Agrasen Hospital, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and Road No. 45 before reaching Jubilee Hills Check Post.
Police have also advised commuters not to use the Panjagutta flyover and instead take the service road beside the flyover near Kakatiya Hotel towards Panjagutta X Roads, NFCL and Road No. 10, Banjara Hills.
