Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged. Days after their Aug. 26 announcement on Instagram, New Zealand’s tourism board publicly pitched itself as the wedding host. The post framed the country as a ready-made venue and invited Swifties to buy in.
The couple has not announced a date or location.

Tourism New Zealand posted an open invitation on Instagram, calling for the ceremony to be held in Aotearoa. The caption read, “This is our official petition for Pop’s next Royal Wedding to be hosted right here in Aotearoa New Zealand.” It added, “We think the Swifties would agree, it’s the perfect backdrop for a star-studded 'I do.' Are you ready for it?”The post highlighted possible backdrops, including Fiordland mountain views, a vineyard in Wānaka, a tree-lined chapel at Ohaupō Tree Church, and the blue water of Lake Erskine and Dublin Bay.
It closed with, “A huge congratulations to @taylorswift @killatrav, catch the bouquet in the comments to manifest your dream wedding down under.”
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement goes public
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on Aug. 26. The caption read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” The reveal followed a two-year relationship that began in 2023. Swift attended Kansas City Chiefs games; Kelce appeared at stops on The Eras Tour. Their relationship became public in Sept. 2023 when Swift was seen at a Kelce game after the pair had dated privately for months.Earlier, on the New Heights podcast, Swift explained why the match clicked: “I was like, ‘If this guy’s not crazy, this is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.’”
