In preparation for the rollout of the next-generation Advance Postal Technology (APT) application, postoffices across Telangana will remain closed for public transactions on July 21. This temporary suspension of services is necessary to facilitate a seamless transition to the new digital platform.
The Department of Posts has announced that the upgraded APT system will be implemented across all postoffices in Telangana on July 22, except for postoffices in Rangareddy, Nalgonda, and Yadadri-Bhongiri districts, which have already been rolled out on July 8, 2025.
The planned downtime on July 21 will enable data migration, system validations, and configuration processes, ensuring a smooth and efficient launch of the new system. The APT application is designed to offer an enhanced user experience, faster service delivery, and a more customer-friendly interface.
“We request our valued customers to kindly plan their visits in advance and bear with us during this brief interruption,” said Y. Naresh, Assistant Postmaster General (Tech-Ops).
