What should have been a title-clinching party for Slavia Prague spiralled into complete chaos on Saturday night.

At the time of the interruption, Slavia were leading 3-2 and were just moments away from officially sealing the Czech league title.
Instead, the match descended into ugly scenes involving pitch invasions, flares, alleged assaults and total disorder.
Derby Night Turns Ugly
The chaos erupted in the seventh minute of stoppage time, with only minutes left on the clock.
Hundreds of Slavia supporters suddenly poured onto the field, many carrying lit flares and smoke bombs. Some fans reportedly moved toward the Sparta section while pyrotechnics were thrown across the pitch, creating panic inside the stadium.
Players from both sides immediately sprinted toward the tunnel as security struggled to regain control.
Referee Karel Roucek initially suspended the match before officials, police and stadium security eventually decided to abandon it altogether.
Sparta Players Allegedly Attacked
The situation worsened when several Sparta personnel were reportedly caught up in confrontations with invading supporters.
Goalkeeper Jakub Surovcik left the field in visible pain and later accused fans of physically attacking him.
“To have someone run up to me during the match, threaten me to my face, and attack me is absolutely unacceptable. I will pursue this legally," Surovcik wrote on Instagram.
Reports also stated that Sparta player Matyas Vojta and a member of the club’s medical staff were assaulted during the incident.
Out of safety concerns, Sparta refused to continue the game and left the stadium shortly after boarding the team bus.
Slavia Face Nervous Wait
Even Slavia supporters who remained in the stands turned on the pitch invaders, chanting insults at the troublemakers as the club’s title celebrations evaporated in front of them.
Slavia chairman Jaroslav Tvrdik admitted the club could now face serious consequences, including the possibility of a forfeit defeat.
“I’m truly sorry because I thought we would celebrate the title together," Tvrdik said. “But things turned out differently, as two Sparta players were physically attacked."
