A 29-year-old pregnant woman died in a road accident near Attapur on Thursday evening (19 June), after being hit by a bus following a collision with a parked car.

The woman, identified as Syed Asra Fatima, was seven months pregnant at the time of the incident.

According to Attapur police, the accident was reported around 5 p.m. as the family was returning home on a two-wheeler. Fatima’s husband, Syed Zameer, was riding the vehicle with his wife and their four-year-old daughter.

As they approached pillar number 198, the driver of a car parked on the main road opened the door, which struck the two-wheeler. The impact caused the family to fall. While Zameer and the child fell to the left, Fatima fell to the right.
