Prem Nazir memorial to be inaugurated on March 11

Minister for Cultural Affairs Saji Cherian will inaugurate the first phase of the cultural complex built in memory of actor Prem Nazir at his home town Chirayinkeezhu on Wednesday at 5 p.m. A photo exhibition titled ‘Nityaharitham’ focussing on the actor’s films will be held in connection with the inauguration. V. Sasi, MLA, will preside over the function and Adoor Prakash, MP, will be the chief guest. The first phase was completed with an allocation of ₹1.32 crore from the Culture department and ₹1.58 crore from Mr. Sasi’s local area development fund. The second phase of construction work, with an estimated cost of ₹2.50 crore, is in progress.
