Donald Trump signs executive order to impose tariffs on countries trading with Iran, aiming to protect US national security, foreign policy, and economy, the White House announced.

US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order targeting the Iranian regime, creating a framework to impose tariffs on countries that continue to trade with Iran, the White House announced on Saturday.
In a post on X, it wrote, “President Donald J. Trump signs an Executive Order confronting the Iranian regime, establishing a process to impose tariffs on countries that continue purchasing goods or services from Iran. Protecting America’s national security, foreign policy, and economy. (sic)"
The move is aimed at safeguarding US national security, advancing foreign policy objectives, and protecting the American economy, the post stated.
