SRINAGAR: Protests erupted in multiple parts of Kashmir on Sunday following the killing of Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a joint US-Israel strike, officials said. Hundreds of demonstrators, particularly from Shia-majority areas, took to the streets, marching peacefully while raising anti-US and anti-Israel slogans, as reported by news agency PTI.In Srinagar’s Saida Kadal area, residents joined the protests, expressing outrage over the attack.
Iranian state media confirmed that Khamenei was killed in the strike early Sunday. (With agency inputs)
