Domestic smart devices brand Qubo has unveiled AI Guard, a new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered technology that will be integrated into its security cameras and dashcams.

This new technology will enable features such as threat detection, automatic alarms and cloud-based footage backup. The company said the technology is designed to enable its cameras to take preventive action rather than only recording incidents.Announced at the company's Qubo Connected World 2026 event, AI Guard will be available across all Qubo smart security cameras and the connected Dashcam 4G Live. Qubo also said its remaining dashcam lineup will receive the AI Guard upgrade over the coming months.

According to the company, AI Guard enables cameras to identify people and potential threats using AI, automatically trigger loud alarms, securely back up recordings to the cloud, and respond when suspicious activity is detected.

What is Qubo’s AI Guard technology and how can it help users

With AI Guard, Qubo says its security cameras are intended to move beyond passive video recording by adding AI-powered monitoring capabilities. Instead of requiring users to review footage after an incident, the system is designed to identify potential threats in real time and automatically trigger alerts or alarms.

The company added that the technology will be available by default on all new Qubo security cameras and its Dashcam 4G Live. Existing and future dashcam models are also expected to receive AI Guard support as part of upcoming upgrades.Speaking at the launch event, Qubo founder and CEO Nikhil Rajpal said: “With AI Guard, Qubo Security Cameras are now designed not just to record, but to protect. So, whether it's protecting a home or making every drive safer, our focus remains on building products that make every day safer and smoother.”According to the company, the introduction of AI Guard marks the next phase of its product strategy, with a focus on adding AI-powered protection features across its smart home and in-car device portfolio.Hero Electronix Vice Chairman Ujjwal Munjal said the new announcements reflect the company's focus on AI-enabled consumer devices. He said, “As the brand evolves from connected devices to AI-powered protection, it marks an important step in our journey to build intelligent products that deliver greater safety, convenience and peace of mind for millions of consumers.”Alongside AI Guard, Qubo expanded its dashcam portfolio by launching the Dashcam Pro 2K (Front + Rear Cam). The new model offers dual-camera recording with 2K Quad HD front video capture and includes features such as a supercapacitor and a collision detection G-sensor. Qubo products are available across all major marketplaces and the brand’s own website (www.quboworld.com) as well as through a network of more than 10,000 stores across the country.Qubo also announced that it recorded annual revenue of more than Rs 350 crore in the last financial year and has sold over 2.5 million devices since the brand's launch.
