Raghav Chadha to join BJP, says two-thirds of AAP Rajya Sabha MPs also merging

In a major setback to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), its Rajya Sabha MPs including Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal quit the party and announced their decision to merge with the Bharatiya Janata Party, citing constitutional provisions.

Addressing the media, the leaders expressed confidence in the central government, praising the Prime Minister's leadership and the Home Minister's resolve in tackling terrorism and boosting the national economy. One of the parliamentarians revealed feeling stifled within their former party, alleging that their voice was suppressed when raising issues of ordinary citizens.
