Railways cultural event brings employees, families together

Mysuru division of South Western Railway organised an Inter-Departmental Dance Competition on Friday at Chamundi Officers’ Club here with the theme “Celebrating Rhythm, Unity and Team Spirit.”

Mudit Mittal, Divisional Railway Manager, Mysuru division, attended the programme as the Chief Guest. Shammas Hameed, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, along with branch officers, employees, and their family members were present.

Employees and their family members participated in the competition, showcasing their talent and creativity. The event featured multiple categories including Classical Solo, Classical Group, Folk Solo, Folk Group, Freestyle Solo, and Freestyle Group performances.

Sheela Prabha and Prathima Murthy served as judges for the competition and appreciated the participants for their performances.

The Personnel Department emerged as the overall champion, while the Commercial Department secured the runner-up position. Prizes were distributed to the winners by the chief guest.

The event fostered team spirit, cultural expression, and camaraderie among railway employees and their families, according to a press release.
