Rajasthan Cop Suspended After Wanted Criminals Seen Dancing, Showering Notes At His Wedding

Ashok Bishnoi, a Rajasthan constable, was suspended after a viral video showed wanted criminals attending his wedding in Nagaur.

A Rajasthan constable has been suspended after a video of at least eight wanted criminals enjoying at his wedding went viral. As per the reports, Constable Ashok Bishnoi invited history-sheeters and smugglers to his wedding. The video shows the criminals dancing and showering notes at Bishnoi’s wedding celebrations over Feb 1 and Feb 2.

These criminals are active in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar and Madhya Pradesh. Amit Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Jhalawar, said that Bishnoi was dismissed from duty after allegations of his association with criminals. A formal enquiry has been raised into the matter.

As per the reports, the matter came to light when a confidential complaint was received alleging that several known criminals were attending Bishnoi’s wedding celebration that was held in Nagaur, nearly 500 km from Jhalawar.

Through the enquiry and CCTV footage, it was revealed that criminals like Pappu Tanwar, who is accused of encroaching on forest department land and building a house, attended the wedding. Furthermore, another serious offender, Ramesh Lal, who is accused in two separate NDPS cases, was also in attendance.

Other criminals who are listed among ‘top 10’ criminals in Jhalawar for drug trafficking and arms smuggling, including Durgalal (alias Durgashankar), Ramesh, Ramgopal, Rambabu Ruheda, Atiq Mohammad, Mangilal, and Chain Singh were in the guest list.

Taking the cognisance of the matter, authorities have taken action in the matter and Bishnoi is suspended.
