A one-year-old boy who stopped breathing following a road accident on the Shamshabad-Aramghar route was revived by Rajendranagar Deputy Commissioner of Police S. Srinivas and his escort team during a night patrol on Thursday, June 18.

According to the police, the incident occurred when a car bearing registration number MH 14 JR 9028, travelling from Bengaluru to Hyderabad, lost control and crashed into a roadside tree.

Srinivas and his escort team were on routine night patrol duty when they noticed the accident and rushed to the spot. On reaching the vehicle, they found the infant unconscious and not breathing.

Police said the officers immediately administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to the child. After several moments, the infant regained consciousness and resumed breathing.

The police team then shifted the child and family members to a hospital for further treatment and medical evaluation.

The child’s parents expressed gratitude to the police personnel for their timely intervention, stating that the officers’ quick response helped save their son’s life.

Senior officers later appreciated the efforts of the night duty team from the CAR Headquarters, including police constables Ch. Mahesh, Pradeep, M. Venkatesh and Pavan, for their role in the rescue operation.
