New Delhi: Commuters travelling through central and east Delhi are likely to face traffic restrictions and diversions on Friday morning due to an official function at Mahatma Gandhi Smriti Sthal, Rajghat.
Restrictions are expected to be in place between 10 am and 11:30 am, with congestion likely in nearby areas.Issuing a traffic advisory, Delhi Traffic Police urged commuters heading to the airport, railway stations or ISBTs to plan their journeys in advance.Affected routes include ITO Chowk to Delhi Gate via BSZ Marg, Shantivan Chowk to IP Flyover, Asaf Ali Road, Nishad Raj Marg, Guru Nanak Chowk to Ranjeet Singh Flyover and the Rajghat DTC Depot stretch towards the Ring Road bypass.Diversions may also be imposed at major intersections depending on traffic conditions and movement of dignitaries. Commuters have been asked to park only at designated spots and avoid roadside parking.
