Rajinikanth–Kamal Haasan collaboration ‘Thalaivar174’ promo shoot set to start on Saturday - Report

Superstar Rajinikanth will be next seen in the much-anticipated sequel, ‘Jailer 2’, directed by Nelson Diliplumar. In the meantime, his next project, tentatively named ‘Thalaivar174’ has also made fans buzzing as it marks a collaboration between two Tamil cinema legends starring Kamal Haasan. As per the latest reports, the promo of the film is set to begin shooting soon.

Fun and light promo planned

As per IANS, the latest buzz is about the promo shoot of ‘Thalaivar174’. The promo is expected to start shooting on Saturday. The promo will be similar in tone to the ‘Jailer 2’ announcement video. It will be light, fun, and humorous. Director Nelson Dilipkumar and music director Anirudh will appear in the promo as make-up artists. There is no official announcement yet, but the film is already being called ‘#Thalaivar174 X #KH238’ in film circles.

Another Rajini–Kamal collaboration in ‘Thalaivar173’

There’s not just one upcoming collaboration between Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. They will also be working together in the tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar173’, which will be helmed by director Cibi Chakravarthy, who was earlier said to be directed by Sundar C.

Speaking about the film, Rajinikanth had earlier shared that it will be a proper commercial entertainer. He said, “Shooting is to begin in April this year.

It will be a proper commercial entertainer.” The film gained attention earlier when Sundar C was supposed to direct it, but he later stepped away. Still, the excitement around Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan working together remains very strong.Expectations from the film are running high and during an event of the film ‘With Love’, director Cibi Chakravarthy promised that fans will walk out of the theatres satisfied. He said, “I even got wishes from people I didn't expect to receive. When you walk out of the theatres after watching #Thalaivar173, you will be walking out with satisfaction. It's a promise.”
