Rajiv Gandhis laid a strong foundation for India’s IT sector: Congress leader

Senior Congress leader and in-charge of Gajapathinagaram constituency Chitrada Durga Prasad said that former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi laid a strong foundation India’s technological advancements during his tenure from 1984 to 1989. It was his vision that made India very strong in the IT sector. He along with other local leaders and activists, paid tributes to Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary on Wednesday.

He added that India could have achieved even greater growth if Rajiv Gandhi was alive and active in politics. He hoped that Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi would fulfil his father’s unfinished tasks as he had a great vision for the development of India.

On the occasion, Mr. Durga Prasad along with others organised charitable programmes and pledged to strengthen the party across the constituency.
