Ram Charan calls ‘Peddi’ his most challenging film yet; says Buchi Babu Sana has 'written it so beautifully’

Tollywood star Ram Charan will next be seen in the upcoming sports action drama ‘Peddi’, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The actor recently opened up about the film and shared why it is very special to him.Ram Charan said he believes the story will connect with audiences across age groups. Speaking to PTI, the actor shared that the film is packed with emotion, drama and inspiration till the very end.“It’s one of the most challenging scripts I’ve ever heard. He has written it so beautifully. It’s a drama and it’s very inspiring, very uplifting towards the end,” he said.

No pressure after ‘RRR’

After the massive success of ‘RRR’, fans are eagerly waiting to see what Ram Charan does next.

However, the actor said he does not feel any additional pressure following the blockbuster’s success.He explained that he approaches every film with the same honesty and passion, irrespective of previous achievements. According to him, success does not change the way he works.“Every film comes with a lot of sincerity and with the same zeal that we did the previous hits. It's not like it's an added pressure at all. It's the same thing we do with every film,” Ram Charan said.

Ram Charan on his bond with Buchi Babu Sana

The actor also spoke warmly about director Buchi Babu Sana. The duo had previously worked together during ‘Rangasthalam’, when Buchi Babu served as an assistant director under Sukumar.Ram Charan revealed that they had always wanted to collaborate again and said he feels happy to now headline a film directed by Buchi Babu. He also praised the filmmaker for crafting a strong and emotional story for ‘Peddi’.In the film, Ram Charan plays a crossover athlete. The actor admitted that several scenes were physically demanding, but added that he enjoyed every moment because of his love for cinema.“Everything was tough. But when you do it with so much love and passion, you want to do it again and again,” he shared.

‘Peddi’ also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Divyenndu, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Ravi Kishan, Boman Irani and others. The film is slated to release on June 4.
