It started in 1979 and went on beautifully till 1999. Filmon se pehle I was a model. Later, I was a part of many rocking numbers… there was a lot of work. In the early 90s, I started doing television. Towards the end of the 90s, after Hum Saath Saath Hain, itne khaas roles nahi aa rahe the. A friend in Dubai offered me a job and I was managing a restaurant.
It kept me busy. People used to recognise me.”‘Even a small role would be a beautiful gift’After the video went viral, she received many calls and even acting offers. Iyer says, “Agar mere naseeb mein likha hai ki main apna 70th birthday iss feeling ke saath celebrate karoon ki I am back in my film industry, toh hone do. Even a small role would be a beautiful gift. I am ready to get back to acting. I just want to tell everyone that I am available for everything — shows, stage shows, ads and movies.”
