Rasika Dugal begins first schedule of Mirzapur: The Film in Mumbai

Rasika Dugal has commenced shooting for the first schedule of Mirzapur: The Film in Mumbai. She will reprise the role of the sharp and unpredictable Beena Tripathi. In the filming adaptation of the series.While Rasika remained unavailable, a source close to the actress shared, “Rasika has prepped for the role really well and slipped back into Beena’s world with ease. There’s a lot of anticipation to see the entire cast come together, but what’s exciting is how impactful her role is shaping up to be. From everything we’ve seen so far, it feels like Beena Tripathi will bring something never seen before in the Mirzapur universe.

”As production gets underway, excitement continues to build, with audiences eager to see how Mirzapur’s world expands on the screen.In a previous chat with us, while talking about her dream roles, Rasika had shared, “If given a chance, I would love to recreate the roles played by Meena Kumari in Sahib Bibi aur Ghulam (1962) and Sridevi in Chaalbaaz (1989). I am also craving to be in a biopic. As a performer, I find the genre fascinating and very challenging as it requires you to tap into the inner life of someone people already know about. If I had to do a biopic, I hope to be in one that is centred on the writer-poet Amrita Pritam.
