Ration shop dealer murdered in Annamayya district

In a gruesome incident, ration shop dealer as T. Krishna Reddy (52) was hacked to death by unidentified persons at Odiselenkapalli village of Galiveedu mandal of Annamayya district in the early hours of Tuesday. According to the police, the deceased was on his way to the bus stop when the assailants accosted him, hacking him to death with sickles and machetes. As tension gripped the village, the Galiveedu police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the area hospital for autopsy. The police are reviewing the CCTV footage from in and around the spot, as well as the approach roads. A case has been registered, and special teams were formed to nab the accused, the police said.
