A red electric car driven by Ketan Agarwal during a trip to the Lohagad Fort on the day he was allegedly murdered is under scanner by Pune Police as part of the ongoing investigation into the matter.

Agarwal, a 25-year-old Pune-based realtor, was reportedly murdered by his fiancée, Siya Goyal, 20, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, 22. According to the police, he was pushed off a cliff of the fort by the duo. 

A video of the car had earlier surfaced on social media, featuring Ketan Agarwal and his bride-to-be, Siya Goyal, driving with the sunroof open. Another video ––  also filmed in the car –– captured a moment between the couple, with Ketan surprising Siya with flowers to celebrate her birthday.

The duo had travelled to the Lohagad Fort in the same car on June 18, the day he was allegedly murdered by Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary.

Goyal and Chaudhary have been named prime accused in the case. On Friday, her brother, Sahil Goyal, was interrogated. Earlier in the day, the accused’s parents –– Pooja Goyal and Praveen Goyal –– arrived at Lonavala Rural Police Station ahead of the questioning.

At present, an investigation is underway into the matter.

Govt Approves Setting Up Of Fast-Track Court

The Maharashtra government, led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has approved the setting up of a fast-track court to carry out the proceedings. The government appointed senior advocate and Rajya Sabha MP Ujjwal Nikam as the Special Public Prosecutor in the matter.

The development came as victim Ketan Agarwal’s family met with CM Fadnavis, seeking swift justice. The Chief Minister emphasised that strict action would be taken against those involved in the crime, saying the case would be fast-tracked.
