New Delhi: An investigation into a robbery case in Laxmi Nagar led police to an international drug syndicate. Cops seized cocaine and MDMA worth around Rs 1.1 crore. Police said a suspect apprehended in the robbery case was found under the influence of narcotics and, during questioning, revealed he consumed MDMA purchased from a peddler identified as Mohammad Hasan, 23.
This input led the Anti-Narcotics Squad to unravel a larger network.Four accused — Hasan, local dealer Razia, and two African nationals, Diouf Solomon alias Oskar from Senegal and Bemah from Liberia — were arrested. A total of 120.18 grams of cocaine and 36.86 grams of MDMA, both commercial quantities, were recovered.Hasan was first nabbed near Preet Vihar on March 25, leading police to Oskar in Sriniwaspuri and subsequent raids in East of Kailash. Two scooters, including a stolen one with a fake number plate, along with packaging material, phones, passports and cash, were seized. Further investigation is underway.
