Rohtak’s Dr. Sanjay Tewari Appointed Chairperson of National Dental Commission

ROHTAK: In a moment of pride for Haryana and Rohtak in particular, Dr. Sanjay Tewari, Principal of Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences (PBDS PGIDS), Rohtak, has been appointed as the Chairperson of the National Dental Commission (NDC), the apex statutory body governing dental education and professional standards in the country.The appointment has been made on the recommendation of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), under the provisions of the National Dental Commission Act, 2023. The official communication was issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, from New Delhi.With this appointment, Dr. Tewari will head the National Dental Commission along with its three autonomous boards, which oversee undergraduate and postgraduate dental education, professional ethics, and institutional regulation across India. The Commission plays a crucial role in ensuring transparency, quality, and uniform standards in dental education and practice nationwide.Dr. Tewari has long been associated with strengthening dental education in Haryana and is widely respected for his academic leadership and administrative experience.
