Salman Khan to begin shooting for Dil Raju’s actioner in April; eyes for Eid 2027 release - Reports

After the underwhelming film 'Sikandar', Salman Khan is gearing up for another high-octane action entertainer. The actor, who is currently busy shooting for 'Maatrubhumi', is already planning his next project as per the latest reports.According to Bollywood Hungama and Mid Day reports, Salman is set to collaborate with producer Dil Raju for the upcoming film and the project is expected to be mounted on a grand scale.

Shoot likely to begin in April

As per reports, the shooting for the film is expected to begin soon and source revealed that Salman Khan might start filming around April 14. However, the makers have not confirmed the schedule yet. The film is expected to feature an extensive shooting schedule and multiple locations across the country are likely to be used.

Given the scale, the makers are also planning significant VFX work.

Collaboration with Vamshi Paidipally

The project is reportedly being developed with filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally. According to Bollywood Hungama, “Salman Khan is in talks with Dil Raju and Vamshi Padilpally to plan their schedules in a way that an Eid 2027 release becomes a reality. The producer – director duo is contemplating the option, and plan to get back to Salman with a plan soon."

The film is expected to be a full-fledged commercial entertainer. “It’s a pure commercial entertainer with Salman Khan playing to the gallery. Vamshi plans to present Salman in a way audiences like to see him," the report stated.

Eid 2027 release target

Moreover, the makers are reportedly aiming for an Eid 2027 release and on the positive side, the festive window has often worked well for Salman Khan’s films. The team is currently aligning schedules to meet this target.

Reports suggest that the film could hit theatres in the first half of 2027. Producer Dil Raju is said to have assured Salman about the timeline.

Eid 2026 celebrations with family

On the personal front, Salman Khan recently celebrated Eid 2026 with his family. Veteran screenwriter and his father Salim Khan, who was unwell since past few weeks made a public appearance. He was accompanied by Salman, Arbaaz Khan, and

. The family greeted fans outside their Mumbai residence, Galaxy Apartments. Continuing his tradition, Salman stepped out to wave at fans.
