New Delhi: Samsung has officially launched its One UI 9 Beta program for Galaxy S26. This update introduces several new AI features, enhanced customization options, enhanced security and accessibility features for users, and it is based on Android 17.

The beta program will begin this week and will initially be offered in the countries of Samsung Galaxy S26 series users, such as India, the US, the UK, Germany, South Korea and Poland. The Samsung Members app is the platform for joining the Samsung beta.

Samsung claims One UI 9’s all about personalization and usability on the mobile front. The company has introduced new creative options in Samsung Notes, such as decorative tape style options and enhanced pen modification options. Creative Studio is also now directly available to edit in the Contacts app; users can now create their own profile cards without having to switch apps.

The update also enhances accessibility improvements. Samsung has added adjustable Mouse Key control for smoother cursor control and bundled TalkBack features from Samsung and Google into one. A new “Text Spotlight” feature magnifies the selected text that is presented in a floating window for easier viewing.

Another big concern of One UI 9 is security. Security is also one of the main focuses of One UI 9. According to Samsung, the update will provide better protection against potential threats and enhance the overall performance and stability of the device.

Samsung also teased that some “higher-level” Galaxy AI features will be introduced with the next flagships later this year. The company is planning to increase the number of devices involved in the beta program after the first test.

In India and Poland, users could get access to the beta program a little later in the second phase rollout later this month, reports suggest.

Samsung’s software development seems to be on the fast track this year with One UI 9. The company released the stable One UI 8.5 update recently, and now it’s beginning to test Android 17 features on its new flagship devices.
