Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra to launch on February 25 at Galaxy Unpacked event: Expected camera, processor, price in India and more

Samsung has scheduled its Galaxy Unpacked event for February 23, 2026. The event will be held in San Francisco where the company will unveil its next Galaxy S series phones. While Samsung has not officially revealed the name of aits upcoming S series handsets, it is likely that the smartphone series may be called Samsung Galaxy S26 series.

Similar to the past year, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series may consist of three phones – Samsung Galaxy S26, Samsung Galaxy S26+ and the standard Samsung Galaxy S26. The series will succeed the last year’s Samsung Galaxy S25 series and is rumoured to come with new features including a privacy display. Samsung recently launched a YouTube teaser giving a hint at a new privacy display feature that will come with the upcoming Samsung phone.

The 15-second video clip shows how the ‘zero-peeking’ privacy feature will work. The video depicts two commuters on a metro train trying to peek at the screen of a Samsung Galaxy S26 series smartphone user.The user instantly enables the privacy display feature, which prevents the onlookers from viewing the screen, even from side angles. “Can your phone do that?,” reads the tagline at the end. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumoured to have a 6.9-inch M14 OLED display.

Design updates are expected to be subtle. While the overall design may stay same, the phone might have a new camera layout on the back, a slimmer profile, and corners that are a little more rounded.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra processor and operating system (expected)

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to come powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Some markets may get versions with Samsung's Exynos 2600 chipset. Samsung is teasing the upcoming smartphone as an AI Phone.

It is expected that the handset may come with improved AI features. The handset will probably come with Android 16 and the newest version of Samsung's One UI.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely to keep its 200MP main camera sensor from the Galaxy S25. According to reports, a better ultrawide lens and a telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom are expected to be part of the camera setup. These improvements are supposed to make pictures clearer, help the camera work better in low light, and make the zoom work the same way no matter what you're shooting.

According to online leaks, Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will follow the pricing similar to last year’s Galaxy S25 series. In India, the higher-end models with more RAM and storage could cost between Rs 1,35,000 and Rs 1,70,000. According to reports, the best configuration in this range may come with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.
