Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjeev Arora, who recently won the bypoll from the Ludhiana West Assembly seat in Punjab, resigned from the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. Mr. Arora met Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar and gave the resignation letter. 

A statement from the Rajya Sabha said Mr. Dhankhar accepted the resignation of Mr. Arora with immediate effect, “finding the same in conformity with Article 101 3(b) of the Constitution.”
