Chennai: The Madras Bar has produced many doyens both to the Bar and the Bench, said, Justice V Mohana, judge, Supreme Court, adding that the developmental activities being carried out by the Madras Bar Association (MBA) would help the younger generation in the Bar.Inaugurating the Madras Bar Association lecture series in memory of M K Nambyar, V P Raman, R Krishnamoorthy, and M Subramaniam here on Monday, she said: “It is unimaginable that I am standing before you and inaugurating endowment lectures for four doyens of this MBA.”“Tamil Nadu and Coimbatore have been extremely kind to me in formative years and subsequently also. From the beginning till recently, the maximum number of works I have done is from Tamil Nadu.
I am very proud to say that,” she added.The event was held at the MBA office premises at the Madras high court on Monday. The lecture series was inaugurated in the presence of Chief Justice of the high court Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari.MBA president V R Kamalanathan delivered the welcome speech, while the association’s secretary J Pothiraj delivered the vote of thanks.
