South Central Railway (SCR) Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM-Infrastructure) P.E. Edwin unfurled the national flag and received guard of honour from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) during the 77th Republic Day celebrations at Railway Stadium on Monday.
The ADRM read out the message of SCR General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on the occasion. Highlighting the performance of Vijayawada division, Mr. Edwin said the division had achieved a gross revenue of ₹4,629 crore up to December 2025 in the current financial year.
The RPF, Bharat Scouts and Guides, students of Jack and Jill School, participated in the march past. Students performed cultural programmes and Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 students won prizes in the competitions.
SCR Women’s Welfare Organisation (SCRWWO), Vijayawada, vice-president B. Veena Chandana, wife of ADRM (Operations) Srinivas Rao Konda, unfurled the national flag at the SCRWWO-run Jack and Jill School.
Meanwhile, Bezawada Bar Association (BBA) president A.K. Basha unfurled the nation flag at the BBA office during the Republic Day celebrations.
Students of NRI Indian Springs School performed cultural programmes, while Mr. Basha felicitated the judges and senior advocates on the occasion.
