From sexual exploitation to attempts at religious conversion – the case of harassment at a BPO unit at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Maharashtra’s Nashik has thrown up startling and shocking details.

The family friend of the first victim, who registered the case against Danish at the Deolali camp police station on condition of anonymity, revealed some disturbing details with CNN-News18.

Speaking to CNN-News18, he said, “We are not allowed to speak to the media; otherwise cops will take action against us. The victim has been working here for the last 4 years. She met the accused here while at work."

Her behaviour started to change slowly at the workplace, he said, adding, “This is when the family realised there was something wrong. She started keeping Roza for the last 2 years."

The family, suspecting something amiss, made her take leave from her workplace and took her to her aunt’s place at Ahilyanagar. She was there for 21 days. The family convinced her to open up, and that’s how she recorded the statement," he told CNN-News18.

"She told the family that there were two people at the workplace who were blackmailing her," he added.

He further revealed that the two seniors were harassing her. “She was threatened that if she speaks up against them, they will release her video on social media and pass it on to her family," the person added.
