Shefali Jariwala, who is best remembered for her music video 'Kaanta Laga', passed away on June 27 in Mumbai. While early media reports pointed to cardiac arrest as the cause, a report by IANS stated that her family has not officially confirmed the cause of death.A report in IANS mentioned that Shefali's body was sent to Cooper Hospital for a postmortem examination. In the meantime, the Mumbai Police have begun a preliminary investigation and are questioning the household cook and domestic staff to piece together the events leading up to her death. A forensic team was also dispatched to her residence, where they carried out a detailed examination of the property.Although no official statement has been released regarding the cause or circumstances of her death, the involvement of police and forensic experts indicates that authorities are treating the case as potentially suspicious.Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital by her husband after she was found unresponsive. Despite all efforts, doctors reportedly declared her dead on arrival.The news of her sudden demise has come as a shocker to her industry friends and colleagues. The actress rose to fame with her appearance in the iconic remixed music video Kaanta Laga, which took the Indian pop scene by storm in the early 2000s. She also worked in reality shows like Nach Baliye, Bigg Boss 13.
