Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi gave a sarcastic reply when asked by scribes saying that “if singing the RSS anthem is enough for one to become the Chief Minister, then, MLA Channareddy and I will sing it.”
His sharp response came after he was asked about Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar singing the RSS anthem, Namaste Sada Vatsale, during a House session. Mr. Shivakumar’s act in the Assembly has now taken a different colour in political circles.
Mr. Jarkiholi said that “Mr. Shivakumar is well acquainted with Sanskrit language and thus, he sang the RSS anthem.”
Meanwhile, the Minister said that he strongly stands by the party and the State government saying that no leader from the Valmiki community has been targeted. “Our leader Rahul Gandhi does not know vendetta politics and MLA K.N. Rajanna who has been removed from the Cabinet will meet the party high command.”
Replying to a question, the Minister said that the media has been projecting too much the U-turn the Dharmasthala case has taken with the arrest of the masked man by SIT, as investigation was conducted as per court direction.
