Thick plumes of smoke billow from a ground-floor commercial shop in Ramsagarpara as a major fire broke out, threatening the residential apartments located directly above.
RAIPUR: A potential tragedy was averted on Tuesday morning after a fire broke out at a commercial shop in Ramsagarpara, located directly beneath a residential building.The incident occurred under the Azad Chowk police station limits.
Upon receiving the distress call, emergency services, including the fire brigade and Dial 112 teams, reached the location.
As the blaze rapidly spread through the ground-floor shop, responders contacted the electricity department to immediately cut the local power supply, preventing a secondary electrical hazard in the neighborhood.
Locals inspect the charred remains of the shop in Ramsagar para after the blaze was extinguished.
Rescue teams evacuated the families residing in the apartment above the burning shop and moved bystanders to a safe distance.While the shop’s inventory was damaged by the flames, authorities confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported. The fire department successfully contained the blaze before it could spread to adjacent properties.
