A high-level Singapore delegation concluded its two-day visit to Amaravati on Tuesday (June 30, 2026) as part of the Andhra Pradesh-Singapore Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) framework for cooperation on the planning and development of an integrated township.

On the first day, the delegation visited the APCRDA Project Office after arriving at Gannavaram. Senior officials briefed the team on the Amaravati capital city project, its master plan, Urban Design Advisory Group (UDAG) initiatives and streetscape development.

The delegation also interacted with APCRDA Commissioner V. Vijay Rama Raju and the Additional Commissioners before attending technical presentations on various components of the capital city project.

The visiting team comprised Yeo Siew Haip, Zhou Yimin, Lineswala Darshan and Jayeshkumar from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Francis Chong from Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), Tay Lian Chew from SCE and Anant Shankar from the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

On the second day, the delegation made field visits to key projects. The team inspected the LPS Infrastructure Zone-7 and MLA-MLC Housing, followed by detailed discussions at the APCRDA Project Office.

During the visit, they also toured Shakamuru Lake, the Trunk Infrastructure works at E6, the Judges’ Bungalows, the AGC (Amaravati Government Complex) Head of Department Towers and the MLA and MLC Housing projects.

The APCRDA officials explained the progress of the ongoing works, the city’s development strategy and the investment opportunities available in Amaravati.

The officials also highlighted the planning framework, integrated urban development model and future growth prospects envisioned for the people’s capital.

The visit concluded with a meeting between the Singapore delegation and S. Suresh Kumar, Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department.
