Six BLOs suspended for negligence in voter roll revision

District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore has suspended six Booth Level Officers (BLOs) for alleged negligence in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls. The action follows findings that the officials failed to discharge their duties properly and violated provisions of Section 32 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.

The suspended officials are Suvarna and V. Venkata Sai Sharan from Bheemili Assembly constituency, M.D. Shahid and B. Lakshmi Niharika from Visakhapatnam South, and Chittiboyina Gangajalam and Chepala Ramanjaneyulu from Visakhapatnam East.

The Collector warned that negligence, violations of rules and dereliction of duty in the voter roll revision process would not be tolerated.
