Six lakh SC/ST families in Andhra Pradesh to get free solar units, says Minister

The government will install free solar units for six lakh SC and ST families across the State at a cost of ₹1,200 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, said Minister for Energy Gottipati Ravikumar.

He inaugurated the newly installed solar roof-top panels on 120 buildings in SC colony of Velamuripadu village, Addanki mandal, Prakasam district.
