Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary has called upon students to utilise the skill development centres to nurture their abilities. He was speaking after inaugurating skill development courses at a Skill Development Centre set up at Amal College of Advanced Studies, Nilambur, on Thursday (July 17).
The Union Ministry of Minority Affairs set up the centre under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK).
Mr. Chaudhary said that students and schools would be vital assets to a nation’s progress. In the era of artificial intelligence (AI), those with practical experience will thrive, he said.

P.V. Abdul Wahab, MP, presided over the function. Aryadan Shoukath, MLA, district panchayat vice president Ismail Moothedam, college manager P.V. Ali Mubarak, Principal K.P. Mohammed Basheer, P.V. Javed Abdul Wahab, Nalakath Mohammed, P.V. Muneer and Nalakath Beerankutty spoke.
The Skill Development Centre offers different courses in accounting, hotel management, data analytics, interior designing, digital marketing, content creation and more.
Union Minister for Minority Affairs George Kurian will inaugurate the Skill Development Centre and girls’ hostel building on Friday (July 18). State Minister for Sports V. Abdurahiman will preside over the function.
