Sonakshi Sinha has leased out her upscale apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra West to the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait for a yearly rent of Rs 1.92 crore, property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix revealed.The apartment has reportedly been rented for the residential use of Kuwait’s Consul General Emad Abdul Aziz Al-Kharaz along with his family members and staff.Located in the premium residential tower 81 Aureate in Bandra West, the apartment is spread across a carpet area of 4,350 sq ft and also includes a 27 sq ft servants’ toilet area, as per the registration documents.The lease agreement was registered on May 25, 2026. Documents showed that a stamp duty of ₹96,000 and registration fee of Rs 1,000 were paid during the transaction.The agreement states that the monthly rent for the property is Rs 16 lakh. The lease period begins on June 7, 2026, and will continue till June 6, 2027.

The apartment comes with three parking spaces and access to several luxury amenities offered by the residential complex. These include a gymnasium, clubhouse, library, banquet hall, yoga studio, jogging track, open sky fitness centre, landscaped gardens, kids’ play area, conference room, and separate swimming pools for men and women.

The documents stated that these facilities can be used by the tenant without any additional charges.The Consulate of Kuwait in Mumbai operates from the Churchgate area in South Mumbai, close to KC College.Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonakshi Sinha is currently being seen in the courtroom drama System, which marks her first role as a lawyer on screen.The film also stars Jyothika and Ashutosh Gowariker. Sonakshi plays Neha, an ambitious young lawyer who is challenged by her father to prove her capabilities before earning a partnership at his law firm. It released on Prime Video on May 22.
