Police in Karnataka’s Bidar district conducted a late-night raid and uncovered an alleged prostitution operation being run from a spa centre, officials said on Saturday. Two men were arrested and five women from different states were rescued during the operation.

The action took place at a facility called Lotus Spa near Shivanagar after officers received specific information about illegal activities. The raid was carried out under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Pradeep Gunti.

Arrests And Rescue

The accused have been identified as Karan and Sandeep, both reportedly residents of Kalaburagi.

Police said five women were found at the premises and were allegedly being exploited. Among them, two were from Maharashtra, while the others were from Assam, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh.

Case Registered

Authorities have registered a case at the Bidar Women Police Station and further investigation is underway.

SP Pradeep Gunti said police will continue taking strict action against such unlawful activities in the district.
