New Delhi: Spotify has recently announced that its lyric translations are now available worldwide for both Free and Premium users, which is a good move by Spotify. Earlier, it was limited only to 25 markets, and it allowed users to tap a translator icon on the lyrics card to view the translation next to the original lyrics. The Translations are tailored to the device’s language settings, and the users can also easily switch back to the original lyrics at any time.
When the users download the song for offline listening, its lyrics will now be saved automatically. This actually means that the Premium subscribers can access the lyrics even without an internet connection. This feature is handy for travellers or those in areas with limited connectivity. Alongside, Spotify has also come up with the latest design for the lyric previews in the Now Playing view.
Lyrics now appear directly beneath album artwork or Canvas clips as the song plays, making it easier for the listeners to follow along. Those early tests suggested that the layout encourages deeper engagement with the songs and helps users rediscover tracks they may have overlooked. Also, the users can continue to share favourite lines directly to the social platforms from the Now Playing screen. For those users who prefer a cleaner interface, the feature can be turned off through the three-dot menu by selecting Lyrics Off.
