New Delhi: Recently, Spotify released a new set of features, specifically created to make playlists easier to manage and to enhance the overall experience of listening to Spotify for users. This upgrade also brings playlist folders to mobile devices, enabling users to organize their music libraries better, while the latest bulk editing tools make it easier to manage playlists and queues.
Spotify has further introduced background downloads in iOS for better offline/online functionality for music consumption and a new restructure button that allows users with a premium subscription to create a new play order in an instant. All must be aimed at giving users greater flexibility in content organization, control over playback, and on-the-go access to music and podcasts.
Organizing playlists straight from one’s mobile device is on the way to Spotify, with the launch of the playlist folders to mobile, joining the iTunes container. This is a feature that enables users to put playlists into folders, organised around assortments like emotional state or action or genre or whatever else they want.
One of the disadvantages of playlist folders was that they were mostly implemented on the desktop and needed to be transferred to other devices to be arranged in a playlist library. This update features an innovative new navigation system, which is optimized for playing a large range of music more easily and for the fast user to find the playlist he or she wants, at the right moment.
Bulk editing – things that used to be mere playlists are now easier to select and manipulate: users can now select and manage numerous new or existing audiobooks or podcast episodes at a time, and easily reorganize the content without having to edit each item individually.
It’s designed to help users who create playlists on a regular basis who need a quicker way to clear up, reorganize or improve their playlists. With the ability to choose and control multiple songs in queue at once, Premium users are getting back control over play queue next up songs.
Notably, it also introduces an exclusive reshuffle button for Premium plans that is viewable by mobile users. This feature can save listeners from taking the time to turn shuffle off and on to get a new shuffle order playlist. It lets users shuffle playlists to get one that better fits their listening tastes or mood.
This option allows users to experience well-known playlists while enjoying an alternative listening sequence of their favourite songs. Premium users on mobile devices have the reshuffle button available worldwide.
