S.S. Rajamouli's ambitious time-travel epic, 'Varanasi,' starring Mahesh Babu as a Shiva devotee on a quest for a cosmic artifact, has a leaked synopsis revealing a global domination plot. Priyanka Chopra plays Mandakini, and Prithviraj Sukumaran is the villain Kumbha. With a massive Rs 1400 crore budget, the film promises a grand spectacle.

S. S Rajamouli’s time-travelling adventure epic starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran has been in production. The movie is announced to release on April 7, which is exactly one year away. The makers have not shared much about the story. But now, a new synopsis has come online, offering a look into the film

Leaked Synopsis of ‘Varanasi’

As per a website, Cine Site added it to its filmography section, with a poster and the synopsis written on the website.

It reads, “A Shiva devotee embarks on a perilous quest across time to uncover a lost cosmic artifact of immense power. As he pieces together ancient secrets hidden through centuries, he realizes the truth behind his mission—the very force that set him on this path is a calculating mastermind with a vision of absolute global domination.

Forever. Unveiled.” This shows that the story is about time travel, secrets, and a powerful object.

It also shows there is a big twist in the journey.

Cast of ‘Varanasi’

In 'Varanasi,' Mahesh Babu plays Rudra. In his intro scene, which was released in Hyderabad during the grand globetrotter event, he is seen riding a bull and holding a trident. A big asteroid can also be seen coming towards Earth in the scene. Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas plays Mandakini. She is seen in a yellow saree and holds a gun. This film is her big return to Indian cinema.

Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the villain Kumbha.

His role is said to be very powerful. Additionally, Prakash Raj will also be part of the project, and reports also suggest that 'Dhurandhar' R. Madhavan will join the film. The music is composed by MM Keeravani.

Budget of ‘Varanasi’

The movie is mounted on a budget of over Rs 1400 crore.Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli last directed the global phenomenon ‘RRR’ and has also delivered the mega-hit ‘Baahubali’ series.
