Standing committee clears proposals for LED street lighting & traffic signals

The standing committee of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, which met on Thursday, August 21, cleared 41 proposals, including one for the operation and maintenance of the LED street lights in the city.

Among the 33 agenda items were one for calling for expression of interest, for comprehensive operation and maintenance contract along with phase wise replacement of existing LED street lights, and CCMS boxes for a period of seven years, and supply and installation of additional new LED fixture and CCMS, with an estimated cost of ₹897 crore.

One more proposal cleared was to call for tenders for operation and maintenance of existing 404 traffic signals, at an estimated cost of approximately ₹77.32 crore.

Auction of commercial estates and model market outlets, storm water drains, model grave yards, function halls, CC roads, operation of sports facilities, among several other proposals, were approved by the committee.
