Students taken on flight trip to Bengaluru for Minister’s birthday celebration

Meritorious students of Sorab taluk in Shivamogga district had the rare opportunity to travel by flight to Bengaluru from Shivamogga on Monday.

Minister for School Education Madhu Bangarappa, who is also Minister in-charge of Shivamogga district, arranged the flight trip for 54 students, who scored well in II PU and SSLC last year. Each student was accompanied by a parent. In total, 108 people travelled to Bengaluru with the Minister. The Minister’s office organised the students’ visit to various locations, including the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum in the capital.

The Minister stated that he was happy to celebrate his birthday with the children and offer them an opportunity to experience a journey by flight.

Earlier on Sunday, a team of 36 municipal workers from Sorab and Anavatti local bodies travelled to Bengaluru from Shivamogga airport, on instructions from the Minister.
