‘Study well, be good’: Guv inspires Bal Grih kids

Prayagraj: Governor Anandiben Patel visited the Rajkiya Bal Grih complex in Khuldabad on Saturday and urged the inmates to ‘study well, do well, and become good human beings’.During her visit, the governor inspected various sections of the facility and appreciated teaching-learning materials, art and craft items, and models prepared by the girls.She took keen interest in their training programmes, including cooking, yoga, gardening, and stitching, and encouraged them to gain knowledge and skills for a better future.Interacting with the girls, including Pocso survivors, she advised them to remain mentally and physically strong, maintain cleanliness, follow a disciplined routine, and adopt a positive outlook. She also distributed sweets and hygiene kits among them.Patel also had lunch with the children at the Bal Grih, sharing moments with them and boosting their morale.The inmates welcomed her with songs and recitations.Patel stressed the importance of discipline, maintaining daily diaries, participating in sports and cultural activities, and focusing on self-improvement.Patel also directed officials to enhance facilities, including increasing computers and books in the library, to support the holistic development of children.Latre, the governor returned to Lucknow after cancelling her scheduled programmes at the Harish Chandra Research Institute (HRI) and Allahabad Museum.
