Sub-Inspector of Police arrested on rape charge in Uttara Kannada town

The police have arrested a Sub-inspector of Police on the charge of raping a minor in a town in Uttara Kannada.

Abhinandan Gouda is now facing the charge of sexually abusing the 16-year-old girl in a private lodge.

Officers have prepared a First Information Report on the basis of a complaint by the victim and her family.

A case has been registered in line with the provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012.
