The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a Sub-Registrar and a private document writer while allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹16,500 for registering a land in Peddapalli district.

The accused, Kasarly Rajender, working at the Sub-Registrar Office in Manthani, was trapped by the ACB, Karimnagar unit, at around 3.35 p.m.. He demanded the bribe amount from a complainant and a private document writer Rasheed accepted the amount. The tainted amount of ₹16,500 was recovered from him.

Both the accused were arrested and produced before the special court for SPE and ACB cases, Karimnagar. The case is under investigation.

The identity of the complainant has been withheld for security reasons. The ACB has urged the public to report any demand for bribes by calling its toll-free number 1064 or through its official social media platforms.
