The Malayalam film industry is in grief as they bid farewell to beloved comedian Subi Suresh, who has succumbed to liver disease. A touching throwback video has surfaced, where her mother, Ambika, narrates the emotional turmoil of Subi's last days, marked by an unexpected rise in bilirubin levels.
The Malayali audience still hasn't fully recovered from the shock of the ultimate demise of actress Subi Suresh. The exceptional talent who left everyone floored with her comedy passed away in 2023 due to liver disease.
Recently, one of the throwback videos of her mother remembering Subi has been making rounds on social media. In one of the episodes of the show Ammayum Makalum, Subi's mother, Ambika, was seen as a guest."One day in the hospital, all our relatives started coming; when I asked, they lied to me that they came since Subi was shifted to a ventilator. No one told me she is gone," the mother said.Further, she narrates the final days of the actress after having a sudden spike in her bilirubin level."When Subi visited me in the hospital, I noticed a yellow shade in her eyes and asked her to get it checked. Her bilirubin level was 4.8. Though she went to the doctor, he said she can very well travel for her program in Jharkhand. "But soon after returning from the program, she fell sick, and we admitted her to the ICU," the mother recollected with tears."She stayed in the ICU for 25 days. The bills were a bit high. Knowing about the expenses, she asked me, 'Amma, how will you handle this, especially when I am lying like this?' I told her I don't care about the money; I just want you back.
But I couldn't bring her back," Ambika said emotionally.
Subi Suresh started off her career by being a part of the evergreen comedy show 'Cinemala.' Ever since then, she was one of the strongest ladies in the field of comedy, which was often dominated by men. Not just comedy, she was playing meaty roles in movies, and her TV show, 'Kutti Pattalam,' was an instant hit among the TV audience.
